Quality School International (QSI) Djibouti is a PreK-12 school located on the gulf of Tadjoura in Djibouti. The school is housed in three large villas and has a student population of 56 students from 16 different countries. Our staff is a mix of North American homeroom teachers and International subject teachers.
Organization: QSI Djibouti is one of 37 QSI schools located in 31 different countries around the world.
Curriculum: We offer an American based curriculum that is developed and revised by our teacher every seven years. We employ a Mastery Learning model of teaching our curriculum which also includes behavior/social skills in our character development program.
Faculty: In the 2022-2023 school year, QSI Djibouti has 21 total staff including 8 teachers, 4 of whom are U.S. citizens, 0 host-country nationals, and 4 third-country nationals representing 5 different countries. All classroom teachers are certified teachers or completing teaching certification classes.
Enrollment: At the start of the 2022–2023 school year, enrollment was 60 (PreK-12). Of the total, 28 are U.S. citizens (25 USG), 4 were host-country nationals and 28 were third-country nationals.
Facilities: Three villas house our classrooms and offices, as well as a very well stocked library. The outdoor space includes a small basketball court, soccer pitch, two small pools, a preschool play area, a garden and outdoor seating areas.
Finances: In the 2022-2023 school year, the annual tuition rates are as follows: $32,000 annually with a $300 registration fee. (All fees quoted in U.S. Dollars.)
